Elemental and Heavy Metal Analysis

ILS conduct a vast range of elemental analysis using flame atomic absorption spectroscopy.

We mainly carry out testing on the sixteen minerals present in food stuffs that are said to be required to support human biochemical processes.

These sixteen elements are divided into 2 categories.

• Sodium/Salt Testing is a important part of nutritional declarations. Salt levels in food are being targeted with new lower levels required by 2012

• Cobolt (Co)
• Nickel (Ni)
• Copper (Cu)
• Zinc (Zn)
