Food Microbiology Quality Testing
ILS routinely test over 7,000 food microbiology samples a week for a wide range of microbial spoilage, bacteria and indicator organisms in a variety of food products, raw materials, finished products and ingredients.
Some of the microbiology or micro-organism tests that food manufacturers may be required to test for are:
Total Viable Count (TVC)
Aerobic & Anaerobic Plate Count (APC)
Aerobic Colony Count (ACC)
Lactic Acid Bacteria
Yeasts and Moulds
To enable ILS to test for such an extensive range of microbiology, we have continued to invest in our automated plating and pouring system. ILS now has 3 automated plate inoculating robots and 1 automated plate spreading robot that are all UKAS accredited and are now available to process customer’s samples.
This automation allows the microbiology food testing laboratories to cope with influxes and fluctuations of sample numbers, providing a greater degree of reproducibility of test results.
Information and testing services for other pathogenic organisms such as Salmonella and Listeria are can be found on the Pathogenic Determination page.
We pride ourselves on customer service and value all of our customers please contact us to see if we can help you with your food microbiology testing requirements.
