Tesco Laboratory Approval Scheme (TLAS)

9th September 2009
ILS Enrols with Tesco.

The Tesco Laboratory Approval Scheme (TLAS) is an initiative by Tesco to ensure that products made for Tesco and tested for certain pathogens are tested by methods approved by Tesco.

From the end of 2010 it will become compulsory that products made for Tesco that are tested for Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter and Ecoli 0157 must be done so under the TLAS scheme.

To be included into the scheme the laboratory must be already hold a current accreditation status with UKAS or other specified bodies.

ILS has already enrolled on two of the briefing sessions that are being run by Tesco to ensure that we comply promptly with the requirements requested by Tesco.
